The 2023-24 NFL Betting Picture With Three Weeks Remaining

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy

With three weeks remaining in the 2023-24 regular season, our staff has been shifting focus toward the NFL Playoffs and which teams are positioned to make a run for Super Bowl LVIII.

So far, six teams have been eliminated from NFL Playoff contention, and they are as follows.

Teams That Have Been Eliminated From The NFL Playoffs

  • New England Patriots
  • New York Jets
  • Tennessee Titans
  • Carolina Panthers
  • Arizona Cardinals
  • Washington Commanders

Four NFL franchises have clinched a playoff spot after Week 15, leaving only ten postseason seeds to be claimed for the 2023-24 season.

NFL Teams That Have Clinched A Playoff Spot

  • Baltimore Ravens
  • San Francisco 49ers
  • Dallas Cowboys
  • Philadelphia Eagles

Of the above four playoff-bound teams, only the San Francisco 49ers have clinched their division. That means they’ll be the NFC West champions for the second season in a row and will finish with no worse than the fourth overall seed.

The Dallas Cowboys had the leg up on Philadelphia in the NFC East, but they were trounced yesterday by the Buffalo Bills. If the Eagles can beat the Seattle Seahawks this evening on Monday Night Football, they’ll reclaim the division lead and gain the inside track on the NFC East title going forth.

18+ NFL betting sites are favoring the Eagles by -3.5 points on the road against the Seahawks tonight.

The next three franchises that are in line to clinch a playoff spot are the 10-4 Miami Dolphins, 9-5 Kansas City Chiefs, and 10-4 Detroit Lions.

If the Lions win this weekend against the Minnesota Vikings, they’ll clinch the NFC North. This would be a truly historic occasion, as Detroit has not won their division in 30 seasons.

The Dolphins are favored at home against the Cowboys on Sunday, but a win won’t clinch the AFC East unless Buffalo loses to the LA Rams.

The Chiefs have the Las Vegas Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals, and Los Angeles Chargers remaining on their schedule. KC holds a two-game lead on the 7-7 Denver Broncos in the AFC West but should be favored in all three of their remaining contests.

Who Will Win Super Bowl 58

The most common pick among our staff to win Super Bowl LVIII is the San Francisco 49ers. They’ve mowed through the best the NFC has to offer and have a chance to face the best team in the AFC this weekend.

The Baltimore Ravens would be the number-one seed in the AFC if the season ended today, but the 49ers are favored by 5.5 points next Monday night. San Francisco is already getting the best odds for betting on the Super Bowl, and a win over the Ravens will solidify them as the favorite unless they’re eliminated before reaching the big game.

San Francisco is led by second-year quarterback Brock Purdy who seems unphased by the instant success. Purdy could be the championship piece that the team has been missing over the past few years, and we do expect them to hoist a Lombardi in February.
